As we hold space for those in the dying and grieving process, there are ample ways for you to contribute. In this work, every gift will make a difference in peoples’ lives.

As a Non-Profit Organization we are constantly in service to the community. The Bardo is a registered 501(c)(3). All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. EIN: 92-3986850

Your support can help in the following ways:

  • Provide scholarships for those who cannot pay.

  • Fund diverse programs and teachers to meet community needs.

  • Sponsor construction of a traditional sauna to ease depression and grief.

  • Build a beautiful vinterhage (conservatory or sunroom) where the dying can take their last breath surrounded by loved ones and nature, in every season.

  • Assist with operational costs.

  • Create a meaningful tribute in honor of a family member or in your own name.

We will be in communication with you as to how to honor
your donation in a way that feels meaningful to you.

  • Legacy Gifts: Make a gift through your estate to The Bardo and ensure your legacy will support a reimagined relationship to death, dying, and grief for generations to come.

  • Donor Advised Funds (DAF): this type of centralized account allows charitably-inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible donations. DAFs are one of the most tax-advantageous and easiest ways to give. If you have a DAF such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, BNY Mellon, or others please consider contacting your trustee to direct your donation to The Bardo. EIN 92-3986850.

  • Employment Giving: Many companies offer a Matching Gift Program to encourage philanthropic giving which can double the impact of your gift. Contact your HR department to see if this is an option for you. Gifts from retirees and spouses may also qualify. Private employers and federal, state, and local government all offer payroll deduction opportunities for giving. Check with your employer’s HR department for more information about this easy way to give.
