About the event

This immersive four-month program introduces participants to the classical East Asian approach to end-of-life care. Learn to integrate Chinese Medicine techniques for caring for the body, mind, and soul as they approach their final moments.


Learn to support the body, mind, and spirit during the end-of-life process with ancient, time-tested practices with Randine Lewis, Ph.D., L.Ac.


We’ll explore the Daoist view of the soul, its purpose in incarnation, and the implications for care during this sacred transition during three 3 hour online sessions.

Introduction to the Daoist View of the Soul

  • Explore the Daoist perspective on the soul’s purpose for incarnating and its spiritual journey.


May 17 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CST)

The Five Elements and the Five Spirits

  • Dive into the five aspects of the soul corresponding to the five elements an their role in the end of life.


June 14 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CST)

How the Elements Unwind and the Soul Separates

  • Learn how the elements unwind at the end of life and how to support the soul in letting go.


July 19 & 20 - 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (CST)

Live Workshop: Acupressure & Meridian Massage

  • Hands-on techniques for managing common end-of-life symptoms: anxiety, depression, breathing difficulties, pain, and more.

  • Acupressure, essential oils and moxibustion

  • Auricular acupuncture seeds for pain relief.

  • Techniques to facilitate the soul’s peaceful transition.
