ADMISSION AND COST

​To die at The Bardo, guests must:

  • Be enrolled with a Medicare-funded hospice organization

  • Have been diagnosed as terminally ill

  • Have chosen to stop receiving curative treatments

  • Have a signed form indicating Do Not Resuscitate

  • Have an Advanced Health Care Directive or Power of Attorney

Additional admission considerations include:

  • Must be free of active infectious or contagious diseases/conditions

  • Dementia or Alzheimer patients will be considered on a case by case basis

  • Mental health issue will be considered on a case by case basis​​​​​

Cost

The Bardo operates on a sliding scale pay model, with the cost of care ranging from $550 to $850 per guest per day. We invite our guests and their family and friends to contribute within this range based on their resources. Admission to The Bardo
is not based on income level or ability to pay.
