DYING AT THE BARDO
Tucked away among aspen, pine, oak, and birch trees, The Bardo IGH hopes to offer a peaceful, home-like environment for up to three dying guests at a time.
We provide compassionate, holistic end-of-life care, supporting each guest with physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care tailored to their needs.

Our Inver Grove Heights home currently serves as a model Bardo home in Minnesota-- a place where people can die that is not in a federally licensed hospice home.

Why not a licensed hospice home?

Federally funded hospice homes are often difficult to initiate and sustain due to the financial structures tied to Medicare and other reimbursement systems. These models are typically designed for larger-scale facilities that can support high patient volumes and administrative overhead. As a result, deeply personal, community-rooted end-of-life care homes serve as are a solution and have been transforming end-of-life care across the country. Minnesota currently has no Omega Home models.
